Mr. P. Ashok Kumar
Mr. P. Ashok Kumar is a pioneer in India’s renewable energy sector, with nearly four decades dedicated to advancing solar adoption across the country. With strong engineering expertise and visionary leadership, he built KCP Solar Industry Pvt. Ltd., ACE Renewtech Engineering Pvt. Ltd., and Acelion Energy Storage Solutions Pvt. Ltd. into a trusted group known for innovation, sustainability, and impact.
He completed his B.E. Mechanical Engineering from CEG, Anna University (1984) and pursued his Master’s at IIT, where he received the National Award from SESI (1986) for his early contributions to solar energy. His achievements earned national recognition, with The Indian Express (1990) describing them as “a unique honour for a young man in his twenties.”
From a humble background—raised by teacher parents and one among six siblings—his journey reflects merit, perseverance, and a lifelong commitment to renewable energy.
He continues to guide and shape the sector through key honorary roles:

Mr. P. A. Vinoth Kumar
Mr. Vinoth Kumar serves as the Director & Chief Executive Officer of KCP Solar Industry Pvt. Ltd., headquartered in Salem, Tamil Nadu. He holds a B.Tech in Solar Energy Technology from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore, and has been actively involved in the renewable energy sector since 2016.
With strong expertise in solar photovoltaic systems and battery energy storage technologies, Mr. Vinoth Kumar has played a key role in the development and execution of solar projects exceeding 50 MW in cumulative capacity across residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and utility-scale segments. His experience spans the complete project lifecycle, including feasibility assessment, system design, engineering coordination, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
In addition to solar PV projects, he has extensive exposure to solar thermal and off-grid solutions, including solar water heating systems, solar water pumping systems, and solar street lighting. He also brings valuable expertise in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and emerging energy technologies, including exposure to the electric vehicle (EV) sector during research and development phases.
As CEO, Mr. Vinoth Kumar leads the company’s strategic growth, business development, and technology innovation initiatives, driving the organization’s mission to deliver reliable, sustainable, and future-ready renewable energy solutions.
Mr. P. A. Praveen Kumar
Mr. Praveen Kumar is a global renewable energy leader and the Director & CEO of ACE Renewtech Engineering Pvt. Ltd., specializing in large-scale On-Ground MW Solar Projects in India and abroad. Beginning his solar journey in 2013, he adopted cutting-edge technologies from leading European markets and built successful joint ventures with companies in Germany and Austria, enabling high-quality technology transfer to India.
Under his leadership, ACE Renewtech has executed 240+ MW of Solar PV Power Projects, setting new benchmarks in engineering excellence, project delivery, and innovation. His strategic vision earned national recognition when he was selected among India’s Top 20 Entrepreneurs by GIZ and represented the country at Hannover Messe 2015 as part of the Make in India delegation.
As Executive Director of KCP Solar Industry Pvt. Ltd., he brings strong international exposure, leadership, and technical insight that continue to drive the group’s mission of delivering world-class solar solutions.
